Central Oxford Mosque Society

The Central Oxford Mosque Society (COMS) is a prominent Islamic institution located at Manzil Way, Oxford OX4 1DJ. Established in 2003, the mosque was purpose-built by the Pakistani community to serve the growing Muslim population in Oxford. It has a capacity exceeding 1,500 worshippers and offers a range of religious, educational, and community services.

COMS offers five daily prayers, Friday Jumu’ah prayers, and hosts various classes on Islam, Arabic, and the Qur’an. The mosque also operates a madrasah with a structured weekly timetable covering subjects such as Fiqh, Seerah, Aqeedah, and Hifz, along with monthly exams.

Meet The Team

The mosque is run by a dedicated committee, who are elected bi-annually, usually during August.

Each committee member serves a term of two years and provide their time and guidance on a voluntary basis.

The mosque membership, currently at around 750 members, votes for and forms the committee of 14.

Our Committee members can be contacted at Info@coms.org.uk
